大学不仅是物质的存在,更是精神的存在,它表征着理性、真理、独立、自由等。每个大学都有自己的个性,也就是自己的精神。个性有好坏之分,精神也有良莠之别,良好的精神可以引领大学健康发展。儒家作为中国传统文化的重要内容,潜移默化地影响着中国人的价值理念和思维方式,必然对现代大学精神的塑造产生积极的影响,大学应积极地从儒家思想中汲取营养,以丰富大学的精神内涵。

Universities are the existence not only in the form of materials,but also in the form of spirit. It is the symbol of reason,truth,independence,freedom and the like. Each university has its own characteristic,which means its spirit. Characteristic is good or bad,so is spirit. And high- quality spirit can lead to a sound development of the university. As an important part of traditional culture in China,Confucianism influence imperceptibly on people＇s values and thinking methods. It is bound to be positive to shape modern university spirit. So the universities should actively learn from Confucianism in order to enrich the connotation in university spirit.
