摘要
纳博柯夫认为小说必应该是美学的,而不是伦理的,文学创作不过是一种审美游戏,不存在什么社会意义,小说只是给人带来审美快感的东西。但作者也知道他无法回避读者的伦理审视,于是他在他的小说《洛丽塔》中设计了一系列的自辩手段,让读者在潜移默化中对小说主人公,也是故事叙事者的不论行为产生了同情,从而达到自我辩护的目的。这些自辩手段主要包括三个方面:精神分析法,巧合和重影人物。通过这些自辩手法的运用,作者表达了他的艺术观,既所谓的真实都是主观的,阅读小说就是一次对生命真实的一次体验。
Nobokov believes that novel should be of aesthetic rather than ethnic value, and literary creation is only an aesthetic means for readers' aesthetic entertainment with no duty for social improvement. But the author is well aware of the ethnic judgment on the part of readers in their reading,so Nabokov purposely employs the self-defense means in the narrative which include the psychoanalysis,coincidence and doppelganger. In his narrative,these means help the author express his artistic view that all the so-called reality is subjective and reading novel is just an experience of the real life.
