Fitzgerald＇s women characters and Kerouac＇s differ in the way they treat love and life and their spiritual ethos. The former are brave in love but actually lack independence in their marriages,and usually their spirits are empty; while the latter have more consciousness of equality in their loves and marriages,they are more perseverant in life and enjoy more refreshing spiritual lives.
