The admission policy for minorities in postgraduate education in China includes three specific types of policies,such as 'minority candidates policy','the plan of high-level backbone personnel training for minority'and'the plan of supporting targeted universities in western'.The policy can be analyzed based on the theory of cultural reproduction,of which the realistic bases include the rapid development of the western areas and minority regions,the slow development of minority postgraduate education,the less stock of postgraduate education resources in western minority areas and reforms of higher education,etc.
