On the Ci of Kainan Mori

森槐南是日本明治时期最著名的词人,亦是日本填词史上成就最高的词人。其创作历程可以分为早年练习、正式作词和词作衰退三个阶段。其词大致可以分为题咏书画、酬唱、感怀、咏物四大类,尤以酬唱之作为多,体现了日本填词者借鉴交流的迫切意愿。森槐南词有多变的风格和比较丰富的个人与时代内涵,明显学习苏、辛之豪放,在日本填词史上卓然一家,即放在中国词人中亦可以无愧。但其词艺术未臻浑化,内容不够丰厚,尚难称大家。

Kainan Mori is in Meiji period of Japan＇s most famous poetess,also is the highest achievement in the history of Japanese Ci. His work can be roughly divided into four categories： Responsory Ci,Lyric Ci,Object- chanting Ci and Ci writing for the book and painting. The largest number is Responsory Ci,which reflects the Japanese writer urgently intend to communicate with others. Kainan Mori＇s Ci have varied style and rich individuals and epoch connotation,obviously learning the bold and unrestrained styles of Sushi and Xi qiji. Kainan Mori is outstanding one in the history of Japanese Ci,even in the history of Chinese Ci. But his Ci is not all blend into one harmonious whole and the content is not rich,so it is difficult to say Kainan Mori is a great writer.
