荀子和老子生态保护观异同浅析

Similarities and Differences Between XUN Zi and LAO Zi Ecological Protection

荀子和老子的思想中都包含了保护生态的成分，二者的生态保护观也存在着很多一致的地方，比如尊重自然规律、限制人的物质欲望以保护自然资源、追求人与自然的和谐等，但是二者也存在着很大的区别：老子倡导物我一体，认为爱护宇宙万物就是爱人类自身；荀子保护生态的理论渗透着功利主义色彩，只是为了人类更好的生存和发展才保护宇宙万物；老子保护生态的途径是遵循道而法自然，荀子保护生态的方式是依礼且制天命等。

Both XUN Zi and LAO Zi＇s thoughts contain ecological protection, and the concepts of their ecological protection have many things in common, for example, respecting the laws of nature and restricting people＇s desire for materials to protect the natural resources, pursuing the harmony between human and nature and so on. But there are distinct differences： LAO Zi＇s in pursuit of harmony between man and nature, thinking treasuring ecosystem as the love itself; XUN Zi＇s protection of ecosystem permeated with utilitarianism, because he protected ecology for the survival and development of human beings. The way to protect the ecology of LAO Zi is to follow the laws of nature, while XUN Zi＇s way to protect the ecology is to rely on the ceremony and restricted by destiny.
