从“悲剧现实主义”看当代小说的坚守与创新——解读乔纳森·弗兰岑新作《纯洁》及其小说创作观被引量：2

摘要面对多媒体和消费市场对传统小说地位的挤压,以及后现代主义小说与身份文学的自我局限,当代美国作家乔纳森·弗兰岑倡导以"悲剧现实主义"社会小说应对当代小说危机。在1996年发表其文学宣言、2001年与2010年相继出版《纠正》与《自由》并大获成功后,弗兰岑于2015年又推新作《纯洁》并受到评论界高度认可,再一次证明了其小说创作观的持久影响力。通过分析"悲剧现实主义"理念、《纯洁》的叙述风格、主题及其对现实的反思,可以看出弗兰岑的当代小说观不仅坚守了小说应再现并洞穿现实世界的职责,同时对传统现实主义进行了顺应时势的改良,从而诠释了当代小说的价值与意义。 Contemporary novelists find themselves not only besieged by technology and consumerism, but also trapped in clichés of postmodernism and identity theories. Facing this crisis, Jonathan Franzen attempts to revive the social novel with ＂tragic realism＂. Having published his literary manifesto in 1996 and two acclaimed novels respectively in 2001 and 2010, Franzen releases his new novel Purity in 2015 to restate his view on the art of fiction. Approaching Purity in view of its tragic realism and analyzing its narrative style as well as its thematic concerns, this paper argues that Franzen＇s vision on contemporary fiction writing sheds light on reality and reconceives realism as a mode of writing.
