摘要 詹妮弗·伊根在小说《恶棍来访》中,有意识地打破了传统小说只是把空间作为故事发生地点和叙事场景的单调写法,相反,作者将空间作为历史隐喻,利用分形叙事和主题——并置叙事的形式,描述了美国文化的独特代表——朋克摇滚乐的历史,并以此为线索刻画了三代人对美国梦的追寻与幻灭,及此中折射出的美国近五十年的社会文化史。 In A Visit from the Goon Squad, Jennifer Egan turns away from the narrative convention of using space merely as the setting of a story. Rather, she regards space as a historical metaphor and employs fractal as well as topic-juxtaposition narratives to outline the history of punk rock and to trace the American dream of three generations, through which a fifty-year American social and cultural history is presented.
