According to the shortage of the existing maritime communication, we expounds the advantage of shipborne mobile satellite communication systems in communication between ship and shore, also between ship and ship. By moving through the partical application of this system, we introduce the system composition and the working principle of the system. We also discuss the key technology in this field.
