Stephen Hawking and the Anthropic Principle

人择原理是描述人与宇宙关系的一个极具争议性的学说。霍金(Stephen Hawking)是当代最著名的理论物理学家之一,在他的宇宙学研究中有很多方面涉及人择原理。探讨霍金对人择原理的思考及运用,主要从三个方面进行:1)时间方向;2)宇宙结构;3)多重宇宙理论。

The Anthropic Principle is a controversial theory concerning the relations between man and universe. In his studies on cosmology,Stephen Hawking,one of the most eminent contemporary theoretical physicists,pays much attention to the anthropic principle. This paper focuses on three aspects of Hawking＇s thought and application of the anthropic principle： 1） The arrow of time; 2） the structure of the universe; and 3） the multi- universe cosmology.
