Three Kinds of Criticisms Against Deep Ecology and Their Relationships with the Self- Realization Concept

深生态学面临着目前现有的理论体系尚无法很好回答的三类质疑:激进性质疑、忽视他异性质疑和理论体系模糊性质疑。这三类质疑本质上或直接或间接地都是围绕自我实现概念展开的。故而,深化自我实现概念的研究是深生态学更好回应这三类质疑的理论潜力所在。关于自我实现概念研究的一个可能的深化方向是将自我实现概念纳入当代美德伦理学框架进行研究和建构。

There are three kinds of criticisms which can＇t be well answered by the existing Deep Ecology theory system： radicalness criticism,the neglect of otherness criticism,and the vagueness of theory system criticism. These criticisms are essentially around the Self- Realization concept of Deep Ecology,and this is why a deeper research on the Self- Realization concept has so great significance for the development of Deep Ecology theory. In order to develop the Deep Ecology theory system and help it to answer the three kinds of criticisms mentioned above better,an appropriate research idea is to bring the Self- Realization concept of Deep Ecology into the framework of Contemporary Virtue Ethics.
