图书馆观念的现代性与后现代性之争及其思考

The Library Concept of Modernity and Post Modernity

现代主义以人类理性的思维,对衡量一切事物的标准施以绝对的真理;后现代主义则认为一切事物都在不断运动变化过程当中,不应当对其固定一种思想观念和意识形态。在图书馆本质和图书馆读物价值取向的讨论中,现代主义主张透过现象看本质的二元分离论;后现代主义主张本质随现象的变化而变化的一元论,可见,二者均持有各自的见解,两者是不同的学术思想,应该在保持对话的学术伦理中共存。文章通过引入现代主义和后现代主义的思维模式对图书馆本质和读物价值取向这两个问题进行深入阐释及分析,在看待某些问题的方式方法上,给予了全新而全面的视角。

Modernism, using human thinking, applies the absolute truth to measure everything, while postmodernism holds the belief that everything is changing instantly so that we shouldn＇t fixate on the same ideology. In the discussing of library＇s essence and the value orientation of library books, modernism argues that we should use dualism to see through appearance and get to the essence. On the other hand, postmodernism thinks we should consider those issues with monism, believing that the essence is changing with the appearance. Apparently, they differ in the understanding. However, since they are different academic thoughts, they should coexist in the discussing. This paper tries to go deep into two things- library＇s essence and the value orientation of library books and explain, as well as analyze those two things by introducing the thinking model of modernism and postmodernism. Furthermore, this paper will try to provide a new and comprehensive angle in the views of some issues.
