Gelao People＇s folk beliefs contain ancient wisdom of the ancestors of Gelao People. This paper explores the origin of folk beliefs of Gelao people：worshiping ancestors, the trees, bamboo, and the Buddha, and comprehends the faith of never kneeling down to difficulties, arduous pioneering, honesty and trustworthiness, and optimism of Gelao People. Gelao people＇s folk beliefs have been inheriting for thousands of years encouraging and inspiring the later generations of hard-working, being honest, and striving to make a difference.
