董仲舒是两汉时期非常重要的政治家、法学家。他的法律思想远承孔孟,近取荀子,兼收阴阳五行及某些神权思想因素,具有鲜明的特色。由于董仲舒的思想迎合了统治阶级的要求,得到汉武帝的重视,因此,对当时及后世的司法实践影响巨大。

Dong Zhongshu was a very important politician and jurist in Han Dynasty. His legal thought, with distinct characteristics, borrowed from Confucius, Mencius, Xun Zi, as well as contained yin-yang and five elements theory and some theocratic thoughts. Because Dong Zhongshu’s thoughts met the requirements of ruling class and obtain the attention Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty;therefore, the juridical practice of current and later ages were deeply impacted by his thoughts.
