中美英语专业大学生学业自我效能感的跨文化研究

摘要 采用问卷调查并辅以课堂观察和访谈等方法,对100名中美英语专业大学生的学业自我效能感进行跨文化研究,结果显示:两国大学生总体学业自我效能感较低;两国大学生的学业自我效能感存在显著性差异;学业自我效能感在性别方面不存在显著性差异。这些异同准确验证和补充了Hofstede国家文化模型的五个指标,即集体导向性和个人导向性、权力距离、不确定性规避意识、长期导向性和短期导向性、男性化和女性化。 The study employs a questionnaire,aided by class observation and interview,to make a crosscultural study on academic self-efficacy of 100 Chinese and American English majors. The results show that the overall academic self-efficacy is generally low,while the individual academic self-efficacy is significantly different among the participants,but there is no significant difference in terms of sex. These differences and similarities,to a large extent confirm the feasibility of five dimensions in culture proposed by Hofstede,namely,group orientation and individual orientation,power distance,the avoidance of uncertainty,long-term orientation and short-term orientation,and male and female.
