Nowadays, inadequacy of physical activity is commonplace in all countries across the world. Using the methods of literature review and comparison, the present paper discusses the relationship between urban form and physical activity. The results show that physical activity is associated with population density, mixed land use and street connectivity. Therefore, when formulating urban development plan, design of streets, parks and green spaces, and neighborhoods should be taken into account so as to increase residents' level of activity.
