理工院校学生国际化素质培养的问题与策略——以中国矿业大学为例

Problems and Strategies on Cultivating Students' International Qualities in Universities and Colleges of Science and Technology:Taking the China University of Mining & Technology as an Example

推进世界一流大学和一流学科建设,实现我国从高等教育大国到高等教育强国的历史性跨越,离不开高等教育的国际化,而究其根本宗旨和最终目的,则是培养学生的国际化素质。国内高等教育的国际化历经几十年的发展,仍然存在着诸多问题,对培养学生的国际化素质造成了阻碍,进而影响大学和学科的建设。以中国矿业大学为例,分析理工院校学生的特点,并总结经验,提出加强学生人文知识素养、提供国际交流机会、建设校本国际化环境等适合理工院校学生国际化素质培养的策略。

The internationalization of higher education is a necessity to promote the construction of world first class universities and disciplines to achieve an historic breakthrough from educa- tional big country to strong country. The fundamental aim and the final object of international- ization of higher education is the cultivation of students＇ international qualities. During recent decades internationalization of Chinese higher education witnessed great development, even though there are plenty of problems which hinder the cultivation of students＇ international qualities, and then influence the construction of universities and disciplines. Taking the China University of Mining and Technology as an example, this paper analyzes the characteristics of students in colleges of science and technology, summarizes her experience, and brings forward the following strategies to train international qualities： 1） to improve the students＇ humanities knowledge; 2） to offer the chances of international exchanges; and, 3） to create a campus cul- ture for internationalization.
