The basic concept and configuration of machine vision were briefly introduced and the application of optical inspection machine based on the theoretical principle of machine vision in detection of defects of substrate glass was also discussed. Aiming at the common defects of substrate glass,the attentions should be paid when inspecting defects by using the relative inspection machines were proposed.
