依托项目的学术英语写作教学行动研究

Project-Based Learning in Academic English Writing Course:An Action Research

本文报告了一项依托项目的学术英语写作教学行动研究。该行动研究立足于大连外国语大学为英语专业三年级学生开设的学术英语写作课程,以笔者所教授的学生为研究对象。在教授这门课程的过程中,笔者进行了四轮循环的行动研究(2012—2015),每一轮行动研究包括聚焦问题、提出并实施行动方案、评价成效四个环节。在教学过程中收集数据,包括教学材料、研究周志、期末反思报告及写作文本。经过四轮行动研究,教学模式得到逐渐完善,但教学行动研究是一个循环反复的过程,需要教师投入大量精力,不断进行评价与反思。

This paper reports an action research on the PBL（ProjectBased Learning） in Academic English Writing course.The action research is targeted at an academic English writing course which is designed for junior English majors in Dalian University of Foreign Languages.The participants are the students enrolled in the course.When teaching the course,the researcher has conducted four cycles of action research（2012-2015）.Every cycle of action research consists of focusing on problems,proposing plans,conducting plans and evaluating the action.The data is collected from the course,including course-related materials,students＇ weekly reflective journals,self-reflections at the end of the semester and written products.Through four cycles of action research,the teaching model has been gradually improved.Whereas,doing action research in teaching is a recursive process which requires considerable effort to be invested and teachers＇ consistent evaluation and reflection.
