Alice Munro is good at dealing with narrative time in her short stories, which makes in her stories break the shackle of traditional linear time so as to show the magic of the plain stories in the mixed narrative time. With the help of the strategy of dealing time, readers could have opportunities to take part in the creation of short stories. This paper aims to take The Love of A Good Woman as an example to discuss the fracture, jump, cohesion and ellipsis of time in this short stories with the method of close reading.Combined with readers' participation, stories can be produced in the fiagmentary time.Munro's narrative strategies not only stimulate readers' curiosity, but also arise readers' strong sense of participation and the reflection of reality.
