Research on the Three Versions of World Geography Records

文章考论魏源所辑撰的《海国图志》一书的三个版本,即道光二十二年五十卷本、二十七年六十卷本和咸丰二年百卷本各自的辑撰、修订增补扩充的情况及其承续关系,旨在正本清源,以方便读者更好地了解这部名著。

There are three versions of Wei Yuan’s World Geography Records, i.e.the fifty volumes version in Daoguang twenty-two years, the sixty volumes ve rsion in Daoguang twenty-seven years and the one hundred volumes version in Xianfeng two years.This paper studies the compilation, the revisions, the supplements, the expansion and the continuation relationship of the three versions, and reforms from the bottom to make readers have a better understanding for this masterpiece.
