摘要
本文对中国2000-2015 年间更名的1921 所高校进行了统计,并采用动态面板数据实证分析了高校更名对招生规模的影响.研究发现,一所高校更名能够使得招生规模增长0.049 个百分点,且这种影响在时间维度上具有U 型特征,在空间维度上呈现东强西弱态势.本文的研究发现支持了以下理论假说:高校更名会推动招生规模增长;办学层次提高的更名能产生较大影响.此外,实证结果还表明,高校更名存在一定的惯性,并会在省际间形成学习示范效应;无论办学层次提高与否,更名均会导致高校教育经费支出的增加.
This paper has analyzed 1921 China’s colleges which changed their name from 2000 to 2015 and empirically studied the correlationship between college renaming and enrollment exploding using dynamic panel data model. This study showed that a college renamed could make its enrollment increased by 0.049%, this influence presented U-shaped features in the time dimension and spatial dimension which showed regional imbalances between east and west. . Results of this study supported the following hypothesis:College renamed would drive the growth of enrollment, and college renamed with raised school-running level had a greater impact. Also,college renaming movement had inertia effect and learning effect on various provinces.Actually, college renaming would lead to expenditure increase whether the school running level got enhanced or not.
