摘要
性别歧视是英语及其它许多语言中普遍存在的问题 ,近数十年来越来越引起女权主义者的不满和抗争 ,也引起一些有识之士和出版部门的关注。本文试图通过对英语中性别歧视现象的剖析 。
Having long been a pervasive phenomenon in the English language, as in many other languages, sexism has triggered an increasing number of complaints and protests by the feminists in the last thirty to forty years and attracted considerable public attention. In an attempt to provide an overview of the matter, this paper will, through some detailed analysis of sexist phenomena in English, probe into their origins and the impact of the women's liberation movement on the English language.
