浅析黑塞中期作品中知识分子与大众的关系

Study on the Relationship between Intellectuals and Masses in Hesse's Middle Phase Works

知识分子与大众的关系在不同社会背景及不同作家笔下,总体上长期呈现矛盾运动状态,局部上各有独特的表现形式。在以讨论双方事物关系为显著特点的德国作家赫尔曼·黑塞的作品中,知识分子与大众的关系贯穿始末。在此选取黑塞中期代表作《荒原狼》进行具体文本分析以整理该双方关系的阶段性表征,并结合黑塞的个人经历、思想倾向与创作理想,考察二者关系发展流变的因与果。

The relationships between intellectuals and masses under the different social backgrounds or in the works of different writers are both change contradictorily in general and uniquely in local. For the literary works written by German writer Hermann Hesse,which are marked by the discussing on dualistic relationships,the relationships between intellectuals and masses has run through the whole history of Hesse＇s creation. This paper selectes the representative work of Hesse＇s middle creation stage—the Steppenwolf—to start text analysis,which is attempt to comb the stage characteristics of the relationship and find out the reasons and results of it＇s changing on the basis of Hesse＇s personal experiences,mindset and creation ideal.
