千古金汤始多事:明代张掖人户数量问题透视——以《重刊甘镇志》为中心

On the Population Quantity of Zhangye in Ming Dynasty——A Case Study of Reediting the Annals of Ganzhen

明代嘉靖年间官方统计的张掖地区人户数据远不及明初的统计结果。如各地一样,出现这种情况一方面是因为在人口统计工作中的漏报、瞒报;另一方面,就"九边重镇"之一的张掖地区而言,人户数量减少与当时的军事活动有着直接紧密的联系。此外,国家政策、自然灾害、地理形势也影响着该地区人口户数的损益。

The population quantity counted by government in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty is significantly less than the population in the early Ming Dynasty. On one hand, just as other places, above situation was caused by muff and disguise in population counting work. On the other hand, as one of the ＂Nine Important Border Town＂ Zhangye, the lost of population quantity had direct and close relations with military activity at that time in Zhangye. Besides, national policy, natural disaster and geographical situation also connected with the increase and decrease of population in this region.
