摘要
本文以Hyland(2005)提出的立场模型为框架,对英语医学研究论文讨论部分的弱化性和强化性情态动词序列做了系统分析。结果表明,生命主体we、抽象主体及隐藏主体与情态动词形成的情态序列都具有鲜明的结构和语境特点。情态动词与后续结构构成的情态序列遵从简约化原则。
Based on Hyland＇ s model of interaction in academic discourse, the present study looks at the sequences of modal verbs as hedges and boosters in Discussion sections of medical research articles systematically. The results show that there are clear structural and contextual features in all sequences of ＂subject ＋ modal verb＂. Sequences of ＂modal verb ＋ subsequent structure＂ follow the law of parsimony.
