《飘》是美国的一部场面宏大的描写南北战争的经典小说,卫希礼是这部名著中的主人公之一,他温文尔雅,多愁善感,具有"诗人"的特质,通过比较我们不难看到,卫希礼和中国遗民有着极为相似的地方:生不逢时的悲剧命运和永远生活在旧梦中的生存状态。所不同的是,由于中西方文化背景、道德评价体系不同,美国的卫希礼温柔敏感但懦弱无能,而中国的遗民,无一不是道德高尚、不食人间烟火的"硬汉"。

Gone with the wind was a classics novel which describing the grand scenes of the Civil War in the American.And Ashley was one of the eponymous heroes.He was a cultured and elegant man,with sensitivity qualities like a poet.The author summarize the similar points between Ashley and Chinese survivors comparing their life story.They had the same tragedy fate out of the time and loyalty quality.Otherwise,they shared the same situation that they were always living in the old days.The difference was that Ashley was portrayed as a sensitive but cowardly man,but Chinese survivors were all described as tough men who were noble and immune to distress.Of course,the reason lies in the different evaluation standard and the different culture background.
