平行文本指不同语言对同一话题所产生的具有相同功能的文本。为提高警务翻译的效果,在目的论的指导下,译者以满足目标语读者的需要为目的,通过在翻译准备、翻译过程和翻译评价阶段阅读大量的平行文本,可获取相关的背景知识和专业术语,借鉴译入语的正确表达方式,大大改善译文的质量,达到共同打击犯罪的目的。

Parallel texts are linguistically independent products that are about a common topic and have the same functions.In order to improve the quality of police texts translating,under the guidance of Skopos theory,translators should take the TL readers＇ need into consideration by consulting large amount of parallel texts,before,during and after the process of translation,to get the relevant information,terminology and idiomatic expressions which they can use in their translation.Thus,we can better work in collaboration with other countries in countering crimes.
