摘要 当前社会中人们接受信息的方式呈现出多样化和视觉化的特点,在人们所接受的全部信息中83%是通过视觉获得的,培养学生的视觉素养已成为当今教育的一个重要课题。美国将视觉思维策略(VTS)作为视觉素养培养的重要教学手段。本文分析指出将视觉思维策略纳入英语教学是培养大学生视觉素养、语言能力及思维能力的重要手段。 In modern society,people receive the information characterized by variety and visual.83% information people receive are visually from movies,TV and internet,etc.Therefore,visual literacy has become a major ability of students and an important topic in today's education.The researches on visual literacy first began in 1930 s in the US and visual learning strategy(VTS) became an important teaching method in 1990 s.The concept and ideas,procedures and inspirations of VTS are illustrated in this essay.It is pointed out that it is an essential teaching method to improve students' visual literacy and language competences by VTS.
