As a poet who was in close contact with the ordinary people, Liu Yong＇s lyrics have a strong people＇s characteristic. Critics often say his lyrics are of low taste and lack of character, though they rarely see the positive side from his living environment and people orientation. From the aspects of Liu Yong＇s creative background, creative features and impact, this paper discusses the cause for his people＇s characteristic lyrics, and its specific performance and significance.
