《呼啸山庄》浸透了作者特有的女性意识 ,流露出作者对维多利亚时期妇女普遍生存境况的理解与审视。女主人公的形象体现了作者对独立的新型女性的呼唤及对男女平等与妇女解放的向往与期盼。
Wuthering Heights, saturated with a unique feminine awareness, shows the author's full understanding of and close examination on the universal living circumstances of the females in the Victorian Age. The image of heroine in the novel manifests the author's appeal for the independent new woman and yearning for the equality between men and women and women liberation.
