It is necessary to clarify the connotation and extension in discipline construction of rehabilitation of TCM. In terms of connotation construction,it should be clear about the definition of discipline,including clinical medical,scientific research,education and teaching,discipline and cultural construction,and etc. On the basis of understanding the content of discipline construction,the extension of discipline construction,the reasonable talent echelon,and the integration of multi disciplines is beneficial to expand the academic extension of rehabilitation of traditional Chinese medicine. Development of the information technology platform and establishment of propaganda and demonstration base of the discipline can expand the external influence in the academic area and the society,as well as strengthening the connotation construction. It is an indispensable part of the construction of subject extension,and the connotation and extension of the discipline are of great significance to develop the discipline of rehabilitation of TCM.
