据猜想,"东海平原文明"起码发生在40000—15000年前之间,是河姆渡文化和马岙文化的源头。那时的东海还是一个没有海水的平原,住在那里的来自非洲的"现代人"创造了非常灿烂的木器文明、母系文明和龙文明。后来由于东海海水上涨,他们的主体从东海平原迁徙到了蒙古高原。后又随着草原生态的恶化,他们的大部又分四个方向走下了蒙古高原从而走向了世界各地,形成了现在世界上60余亿人口的"一家人"局面。
