The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories by Angela Carter embodies outstanding female gothic characteristic,with the uncanny bridal image. Carter endeavors to write totally different images of wedding ceremony,wedding gown and the bride. She uses an extremely exaggerated and tortured method in describing bride’s experience to show the uneasiness of women at the point of role transition. She uses the perspective of women all the way in the story,taking into consideration women’s biology and psy-chology,thus manages to show her concerns and sympathies for women.
