Nowadays China's economic development is facing a knotty problem with universal significance-rampant attempts to manufacture counterfeits and ineffective efforts to combat counterfeits.One of the causes for the rampant manufacture of counterfeits is that their anticipated profit is much higher than their anticipated cost.The economics significance of combating counterfeits lies in an increase in the anticipated cost for the counterfeits manufactured and a reduction in the gap between their anticipated cost and their anticipated profit.At the present stage,it is an imperative necessity for governments at all levels to rectify previous ineffectiveness and enforce combating counterfeits.
