Medical Anthropology and Anthropology Studies in Southwest China——An Interview with Professor Elisabeth Hsu,an Anthropologist

以英国牛津大学Elisabeth Hsu教授的学术经历为线索,介绍20世纪70年代以来医学人类学在欧洲的历史与发展,同时探讨了中国西南地区在世界民族志书写中的意义、影视人类学等新技术手段在田野调查中的应用及西南地区的物质文化研究等。

Focusing on the academic experience of Professor Elisabeth Hsu from University of Oxford in UK, this interview introduces the history and development of medical anthropology in Europe since 1970s. The interview also discusses the significance of Southwest China to ethnography writing in the world, the application of new techniques and means such as visual anthropology in field research, as well as material culture studies in Southwest China.
