This paper classifies the auspicious patterns on carriers of Zhuang people in west Guangxi, explains the understanding of ＂life＂ in their carrier cul- ture and explores the universal value of the interpretation of ＂beauty＂ in Zhuang culture. Adopting some approaches like reification, symbolization and implication, the auspicious patterns on carriers of Zhuang people in west Guangxi reveal Zhuang people＇s philosophy and ideology in an implicit and inward way. The basic themes of patterns such as praying for good luck, exorcising disasters, blessing for peace, longevity and fertility show life. that Zhuang people are full of hope for
