A Discourse on Adolescents in Rural Writing, with New Rural Writing in Taiwan as the Centre

从上世纪末到新世纪以来的台湾新乡土小说创作中,一个值得关注的视角为乡土书写中所展现的青少年论述。新乡土作家以青少年为论述的载体,以乡土作为时空的场域,一方面继续在少年往事、家族与历史之间搬演翻转,重新为历史或记忆建构想象的空间;另一方面,在后现代的乡土语境中,作家也展现了一种内省凝视的姿态,以青少年的现代体验和成长经验作为自我精神表达的代言,其创作呈现了戏谑、奇情和忧伤混同的"现代性"面影。

In the creation of new rural writing in Taiwan, from the end of the last century, one perspective warrants attention, which is the discourse on adolescents as shown in the rural writing. The new rural writers use adolescents as subjects of their discourse and rural settings as sites of time and space, reconstructing imaginative space for history or memory by continuously moving between teen reminiscences, families and histories, on the one hand, and, on the other, the writers, in a postmodern rural context, also exhibit an extroverted attitude, looking inward, with the modern experience and growing-up experience of the adolescents as a representation of their own spiritual expression, whose writings have the＇ modern＇ features of playfulness, strange feelings and sadness.
