This article gives a thorough investigation of Jin Shi, the lost book of Li Shangyin. It is inferred from some relative catalogues in Song Dynasty that it is a book on expressions and idioms and specially applied in the writting of pian proses. It is arranged according to the classifications of the Si Liu idioms used by the predecessors. It is inseperable from the exquisiteness and appropriacy of the usage of idioms in Li Shangyin's poems and proses.
