Service industry, an important feature of modern econ-omy, is the main orientation of optimizing and upgrading indus-trial structure and transforming the way of economic development, as well as a strategic measure to advance urbanization, construct a harmonious society and expedite internationalization. This pa-per first analyzes the problems in the development of modern service industry in Liaoning Province, and then proposes the countermeasures to accelerate the development of modern service industry in Liaoning Province.
