The inter-satellite link utilizes the satellite as network node and realizes a global-covered comprehensive information transmission network.The inter-satellite link has many advantages,as the global network,high autonomous control,time synchronous,and efficiency netting between satellite-to-ground and satellite-to-satellite,and it can provide the net extend service,information exchanges,examination,management and identifications.This paper introduces the applications of the global inter-satellite link and discusses its development trends.
