The effect of atmospheric turbulence on wireless ultraviolet communication

摘要 为验证大气湍流对紫外光的衰减作用,根据折射率结构常数、信噪比(SNR)、衰减概率的数学模型,采用对比分析法研究折射率结构常数随高度的变化规律,不同强度大气湍流对系统的信噪比和信号衰减的影响.结果表明,在其他条件相同时,波长越短,信噪比越大.中等强度(C_n^2=10^(-14))大气湍流下的SNR比无大气湍流的SNR低约20dB;湍流越强,通信距离越大,衰减越大.增大接收孔径能降低湍流对通信衰减的影响. In order to verify the effect of the atmospheric turbulence on the UV attenuation, ac- cording to the mathematical model of the refractive index structure constant, SNR, and the fading probability, a comparative study was conducted. The analysis was made of the variation of refractive index structure constant with different height, SNR of the system and the attenua- tion of signal in different intensity of atmospheric turbulence. The results show that when the other conditions are the same, the wavelength is smaller and the SNR is higher. The moderate intensity of atmospheric turbulence(C2n = 10-14) effect on SNR is about 20dB lower than without. The stronger of turbulence and distance, the greater attenuation of the signal. The effect of turbulence on communication attenuation can be reduced by increasing the receiving aperture.
