《西康建省记》是清末代理川滇边务大臣傅嵩炑所作的一部有关西康地区的纪实性著作。最早的版本是民国元年十一月成都公记印刷公司刊印的。全书共64目,约6万多字。主要内容涉及清末川边地区的改土归流,西康地区的山川土地矿产、风俗民情、赋税徭役、物产宗教等多方面。该书是傅嵩炑久官康藏之后所写的一部实录,内容广博,记载也比较翔实可靠,是研究清末川边地区政治、经济、军事、民族的重要史料,在西康地方志上也有一定的地位与作用。

The founding of Xikang Province is written by Fu Songmu- the minister of Sichuan- Yunan border affairs of the late Qing Dynasty,which is a documentary about the Xikang area. The earliest version of the book is published by Gongji Publishing House in Chengdu in November of the first reign year of the Republic of China. The book includes 64 meshes,about more than 60,000 words. Its contents mainly deal with the bureaucratization of native officers in the late days of Qing Dynasty,land,mineral products,social customs,taxes,corvee,local produces,and religions and so on in Xikang region. The book was written by Fu Songmu when he hold an office in this region and gives a true record to Sichuan- Yunan affair which is accurate and reliable,thus the book is viewed as an important historical data regarding politics,economy,military affairs and ethnicity of Sichuan-Yunnan boarder areas in late Qing Dynasty
