The paper introduces the concept of the soil＇s shearing strength and shearing strength indexes, illustrates the application of the soil＇s shearing strength from the foundation loading capacity, foundation pit project, and roadbed stabi l ity, so as to provide some reference for the de-sign and construction of similar projects.
