Notes on the Three Colors of the Yi People's Lacquer

彝族崇尚黑、红、黄三种颜色。彝族漆器均以黑、红、黄三色彩绘。它最具彝族传统审美意识。随着历史的发展,彝族漆器艺术逐渐演化成了三色艺术形式,这种艺术形式广泛用于建筑,绘画,装饰等领域。文章主要探讨彝族漆器与木器、漆器与传说、漆器与髹饰、漆器与传承的问题。

The Yi people favor black, red and yellow colors. Their lacquers are all painted with these three colors, the patterns of lacquer painting developed traditional aesthetics of the Yi people. Later, the art of lacquer evolved into different forms of art widely used in architecture, painting, and decoration. This paper will deal with the relation between lacquer and wooden ware, lacquer and folklores, lacquer and lacquer painting, lacquer art and its inheritance.
