德性,即道德品性。德性是向善的人性,是人性的核心表现。德性作为个体的内在品质是可教的,音乐不仅是"听觉"的艺术,更是"心觉"的艺术,音乐与心灵的直接相通性为音乐教育德性教化的有效性提供了可能。情的触动、美的感化、善的引导是音乐教育提升德性的有效途径。

Virtue, which equals to morality and quality, is the goodness of human nature, also the prime presentation of humanity. As a person＇s inner quality, virtue can sure be taught. Music is more than an art form of ＂auditory percep- tion＂, but also the art of ＂mental consciousness＂, whose direct connection with human spirit provides possibility of culti- vating moral education through music education. Music education helps people feel various affections, experience the beau- ty, and guides them to be virtuous, which are the most effective methods to cultivate human virtues.
