栀子三纹野螟ArchernistropicalisWalker主要危害红山栀Gardeniajasminoides当年生初展的嫩叶 ,也危害老叶、花蕾和果实。该虫在景宁一年发生 6代 ,以老熟幼虫或蛹在落叶、地被物及虫苞中越冬 ,翌年 4月下旬开始羽化。第 1、 2、 3、 4、 5、 6代幼虫危害盛期分别在 5、 6、 7、 8、9、 10月中旬。室外观察其天敌主要有鸟类、寄生蜂、螳螂、草蛉、蜘蛛。

Archernis tropicalis has 6 generations a year in Jingning County and overwinters as mature larva or pupa in fallen leaves,humus or galls.Adult emerges in the last ten days of April the next year.The peaks of damage caused by larvae of the 1 st ,2 nd ,3 rd ,4 th ,5 th and 6 th generations are in May,June,July,August,September and October respectively.It mainly attacks tender leaves,sometimes attacks old leaves,buds and fruits of Gardenia jasminoides.Birds,parasitic wasps,mantis,lacewings.and spiders are observed to be its natural enemies.
