摘要
如何实现终身性的经验的不断改造,杜威提出了一种教育学路径和一种社会学路径。尽管在早期杜威和晚期杜威那里,这两种路径之间存在着一定的张力,但在就其服务于自我发展而言,又存在着杜威意义上的辩证统一。这两种路径与儒家的修身传统有着深度契合和相互补充,并显示了一种世界主义倾向。
John Dewey explores two approaches to make possible the continous reconstruction of experiences, one is pedagogical, the other sociologi cal. The two approaches are dialectically united in serving the individual self-development despite of the tension between them. The two approaches with its feature of cosmopolitanism are compatible with and complementary to Confucian tradition of self-cultivation.
