独立学院艺术类学生英语学习动机及激发策略

The English Learning Motivation of Art Students in Independent College and Motivating Strategies

摘要 艺术类学生是独立学院学生中一个非常重要的群体,如何针对艺术类学生的特点进行有效的英语课堂教学,是独立学院面临的一大挑战。基于调查问卷和SPSS软件的定量和定性分析显示,艺术类学生的英语学习动机不强,普遍在工具型动机的驱使下学习英语。因此,教师应针对艺术类学生英语学习动机采取针对性的课堂教学激发策略,从心理、自我监控和课堂组织三方面提高学生的英语学习兴趣,增强学生英语学习的自信心。 Art students are a very important group among students in the independent college. How to make effective English class teaching based on the characteristics of art students is a big challenge faced by independent colleges. Analysis based on investigation questionnaire and SPSS software shows that art students' English learning motivation is weak and they are generally driven by the instrumental motivation to learn English. Therefore,teachers should adopt pertinent classroom motivating strategies according to their English learning motivation and try to improve their English learning interest and enhance their confidence.
