摘要
书画社团作为中国书画家的一种传统组织形式,早在北宋时期就已经出现了。最初书画社团只是为书画家提供交友娱乐方便的同好会,而到了民国前期,书画社团的性质发生了重大变化,开始进行书画交易。书画家在社团明码标价,出售书画作品,并且常常依附于数个书画社团。书画社团在民国前期的书画交易中扮演着重要的角色。从全国范围来看,南方与北方的书画社团也有着各自的特色。北方重视传统,除了经营书画,书画社团还发挥着普及和推广传统艺术的作用;南方则更注重经济效益,采取新兴的经营模式,以期取得更多利益。
As traditional organizations pooling Chinese calligraphers and painters, the history of calligraphy and paintings societies can be traced back to Northern Song dynasty. At first, these societies served as parties for calligraphers and painters, while they became calligraphic pieces and paintings transaction sites towards the early years of the republic of China. Calligraphers and painters would sell their pieces in different societies, which played important roles in calligraphic pieces and paintings transaction at that time. Calligraphy and paintings sociefies in northern and southern China were distinctive in features, the ones in northern China putting premium on traaition and promoting traditional arts besides artistic piece transaction while the ones in southern China emphasizing profits.
